Ramona Brant was convicted of a non-violent drug crime of conspiracy to possess with intent to sell cocaine and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. After serving 21 years, 52 year old Brant was finally released on February 1, 2016, after President Obama granted her clemency in December of 2015.
